Larry Stroud brings an invaluable perspective to his advisory work with professional services firms. He is widely sought out for his spot-on advice and steadying guidance on business development, including business development coaching and mentorship.
Larry trained with PWC where he obtained his CPA, CA and first moved into the Corporate Recovery and Insolvency Practice. He then transferred to PWC’s Bermuda office where he focused on Reinsurance and Off-shore Financial Entities. He then joined EY and at the age of 30 became one of the youngest partners in the firm.
Larry’s career later led him to London UK and a partnership in Mazars LLP, an integrated international partnership in 70 countries. In Europe the firm is ranked the largest outside of the Big Four firms. Larry was the lead partner for Forensic Investigations and Litigation Support, specializing in the Lloyd’s of London reinsurance market.
Due to his success in business generation, he was asked to take a ‘career pivot’ to specalize in the firm’s business development and marketing – becoming the firm’s first National Business Development and Marketing Partner leading the effort on a national basis for the firm’s 20 offices.
He sat on the firm’s London management board, the international group’s business development and marketing committee, chaired the group’s international conference and was instrumental in the firm winning ‘Top Firm of Year’ award several times, with criteria including marketing, innovation and client service.
Larry returned to Canada in 2000 and founded Korverge, now a successful business development advisory firm focused solely on the professional services sector.

Depending the nature of the client mandate Larry will select other previously engaged team members highly experienced in the professional services industry.
In his spare time Larry enjoys cooking, movies and non-strenuously riding his bike (only in bike lanes !!).
