dog years

Someone recently commented to me that the life of a website is like dog years – every dog year is equal to seven human years. This was an interesting thought and might have been the case early in the adolescent years of a website. However, with the onslaught of social media and the interconnectivity of the various communication platforms with a website, I’d say that for the past few years a website that has remained static since its infancy years has aged even faster. I would easily estimate that one year of website life now equals 10+ years in the human life span.
